This is the first time I have ever owned or used a French Press to make coffee. For years now I have turned to my single-cup brewer for my morning fix or afternoon pick-me-up. After using the Zzanggu French Press to make my first ever cup of coffee in this way, I now know just how good home brewed coffee can be.
I used the same coffee that I normally use in my single cup brewer. The difference in flavor is like night and day. I honestly want to say that the French Press coffee turned out better than the coffee I pay $5 for at the local and chain coffee shops. Yeah, it took about 5 to 10 minutes to brew 2 cups of coffee using the French Press, but the extra time makes a VERY noticeable and rewarding difference. Like…. “OMG!! I can’t believe I brewed this at home.” type of good. 🙂
I’ve never understood why anyone would go through all of this when I could just pop a K-Cup into my single cup brewer and be done in less than a minute. Well, thanks to taking the leap and trying the Zzanggu to see what the fuss was all about, I now know why.
I made a video (above) showing just how easy it actually is to use the Zzanggu French Press. It was easier than I imagined and the resulting coffee was FAR SUPERIOR than what has ever come out of my single cup brewer. This was my first time ever making coffee in a French Press. The Zzanggu came with clear instructions, but I confess… I watched several online videos before my first attempt. I wanted to make sure I did everything correctly. After tasting the results, I am certain I did it right. 🙂
The Zzanggu is available on Amazon via the link above. I have to say, I like everything about it. It is really well made, and the finish on it is very classy and rustic. It even came with several extra mesh filters. I’m assuming they need to be changed after a certain amount of time. The instructions really don’t address this, but I’m sure a simple search online can provide that info. I think I’ve found my new everyday coffee maker. 🙂
